Pro-active Training Open day Success!

The team were full of smiles when Councillor Kevin Cranney carefully cut the ribbon that had kept us all on tender hooks for months. After hard work and determination we could finally invite friends, family and associates to join in on a very special occasion for us all.

The training centre was taken over in July 2015 after Robin Morton, Steve Willis and Brian Hanson realised there was a massive skills shortage in the construction industry for Apprentices. There is a huge demand to replace the ageing tradesmen at Brickwork Services Ltd and other Construction companies.

Their dream became a reality when we opened the doors and now we accommodate 60 Bricklaying Apprentices. Steve and Rob also saw the massive demand in other construction areas and the centre is continuing to expand to meet these demands.

Pro-active are currently recruiting for 45 Trainees to take part in the Groundwork Apprenticeship that is due to start February 2016.
